2016 Salmon Arm Ward Christmas Celebration

A Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

The evening began with a wonderful program.

The Bishop and his councillors organized a "Most Delicious" Turkey dinner with all of the trimmings. They informed us before that it would be a meal but that it would be a meal unlike any we had before.  After the program we were told that they tried hard to think outside the box and went on to say that there would be no plates to eat on this year.  Imagine the wonder in each of the minds of those attending.  We were each to go into the cultural hall and pick up a Pint Jar and that we would be served our meal in that jar.  We did get silver spoons to eat with!

For dessert we had a choice of Christmas pudding with lemon and vanilla sauce  or Pumpkin Pie Cake.  I thought of how lucky we were not to have to put that dessert into our Pint Jars coated with Turkey, Cranberries, Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Mixed Vegetables, & Gravy!  They relented and had paper plates and fresh cutlery for our dessert.

This Christmas our Focus is "Light the World"
This tie helped light my world tonight.
It has been "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!"
So let it be our resolve to LIGHT THE WORLD each day of the year and bring JOY to ALL!
