Scout Snow Cave Winter Camp Feb. 8, 2014

Scouts Snow Caves

At last.....Inside the Snow Cave
Winter Camp on Feb. 7th & 8th, 2014 turned out to be a very cold camp, probably the coldest day of the year.
It was held on the Michels' property out near Phillips Lake between Sorrento and Chase.  Their property had plenty of good snow to build snow caves.
The Scouts in attendance were, Richard & Preston Davis, Ales Taylor, Dillon Milligan, Gabriel Flemming,  & Dillon Taylor (a Venturer)
Scouters' Russell Kearl, Tyson Knauf, Hans Michel, & David Wood attended and we were greatful to have Chris Milligan, Dillon's dad, there as well.
Brrrr....It's cold out there, but warm in here.  True or False?

Time to Break up our Home

This is harder to break up than we thought it would be!

Caving it In!
A special thanks goes to Hans for using his tractor to make the huge piles of snow so that we could  make the snow caves.
We made two caves but slept in only one of them.

  1. Three cheers for the scouts and the scouters. The sky has such a clear blue colour and what a sight to see the mountains in the background. Just beautiful. A camp to remember.
