Stephanie Cooks Baptism





Stephanie Cook was baptized on January 26th by Brother Randy Potrie.
She was confirmed the following Sunday by Elder Dane Erik Manly. 

Terra Redwood gave the talk on baptism and Joy Eliason spoke about the Holy Ghost.  It is so nice to have Stephanie and her four young boys in the Salmon Arm Ward.

Alex Taylor, Stephanie Cook's twelve year old son, was baptized on February 9, 2014 by Elder Dustin Blair Naylor.

He was confirmed the following Sunday by Bishop Bob Papworth.

Brother Russel Kearl gave the first talk on baptism, likening it to Pokemon, which of course really engaged all of the children.

After the baptism, Sister Shirley Lamothe spoke on the Holy Ghost and told a very nice story.  She said that two weeks before, when Stephanie was baptized, the Holy Ghost whispered to her that she needed to prpare a talk on the Holy Ghost because Alex was going to be baptized really soon.  She knew the missionairies were going to ask her to give the talk.  Two days before Alex's baptism, the elders did indeed call Shirley.

She knew exactly what the missionaires were calling for.  In fact, Shirley had already prepared the talk.

What a wonderful example of how the Holy Ghost works!
